Pregnancy Update: 39 Weeks!

Welp, no baby here yet!

I had my doctor appointment on Tuesday and she said that I was still dilated at the same progression as 2 weeks ago, so only 3 cm and 70/75% effaced. She asked if I wanted to do a sweep and I declined because obviously baby isn’t ready yet. But, she assured me that it wouldn’t work if baby wasn’t ready, but I’ll give her another week and a half and if things aren’t progressing, then I guess I’ll do it because honestly she’s starting to make my pelvic area uncomfortable. It hurts to go from sitting to standing and vice versa.

I think I need to invest in one of those belly strap things to maybe help support my big belly. My belly is honestly not as big as it could be I suppose. I was just at the memorial and all my husbands family and friends couldn’t stop complementing me on how good I looked and that I don’t look 9 months pregnant. I think they’re just trying to be nice, cause I don’t buy it. 😉 But I only have a little to go so maybe I’ll just hold off and see if she comes soon.

The other night when my husband and I went to dinner. I jokingly said, I’m going to keep all my maternity clothes for next time. His eyes immediately got big. I knew that would be the reaction I’d get, which is why I said it. He wants to try for a boy, but he said he doesn’t want to get stuck with 2 menstruating teenage girls at the same time. LOL

I mean, I guess we’ll see if we’re ready for a 2nd within the next couple of years, if not then he said I should probably get rid of my clothes. We don’t want to get too ahead of ourselves since we haven’t even gotten this one out to experience parenthood yet. My husband will be pushing 40 in a couple of years so I don’t want him to be getting too old, heck, I’ll be 35. Scary thought right there.

Until next time…

Earn REAL FREE Las Vegas Rewards with myVEGAS Facebook App!

I have stumbled upon a new addiction to my already current addictions, which have been freebies and Las Vegas. It’s a Facebook casino app game called myVEGAS where you can earn real rewards to shows, restaurants, or even hotel rooms just by playing slots, which are absolutely free!! Of course there are the pop-ups that prompt you to buy chips with your real money, but all you have to do is click the “x” to get it off the screen. It’s the only minor annoyance, but it’s the whole point of the game, to get the consumer to buy chips.

I have been playing the MyVegas app game on auto-spin since Sept 6th 2012 trying to accumulate as many loyalty points as I can for all of my Vegas trips, which So far, it’s been easy as long as I stick with it every day. Even if you’re at work or school, you can have it set on auto-spin on your android or apple device by using the photon browser(iphone) or puffin browser(android). These are the only 2 that have flash capabilities.

As of today, I’ve accumulated:
  • 2 Nights in Mandalay Bay Great Room Suite – my post about Mandalay Bay
  • 2 Tickets to see Carrot Top in the front row. You can read a blurb about that on my personal blog.
  • 2 Lunch Buffet Passes in Bellagio
  • $100 dining credit at Nine Fine Irishmen at New York New York Hotel & Casino
  • $75 Beverage & Drink Credit for NY NY.
  • $50 Food & Beverage Credit at Monte Carlo. I plan on using this one at The Pub since it has a wide variety of beers and ciders.
  • 1 Night in the Tower Suite at Mirage
  • 2 Tickets to KA
  • 2 Breakfast Buffets at Mirage
  • 2 Unlimited 1-day pass on the Monorail
  • (2) $50 in Free Play at Monte Carlo
  • 3 Nights at Monte Carlo
  • 2 Shark Reef Passes at Mandalay Bay
  • 2 Nights in the deluxe room at Mirage (upgraded to the tower suite for an extra 2 nights for $200)
  • $75 Drink Credit at Bar at Times Square Dueling Pianos in New York New York
  • 2 Tickets to Secret Garden in Mirage
  • 2 Tickets to Zumanity

I have done an estimate of the cost of all the rewards above and it’s worth around $3000+ that I didn’t spend one penny on, just loyalty points from playing the MyVegas game on Facebook! Even though I have no plans to go back for a couple years since we’ll have a little one with us, I still play so I can save up my loyalty points for a future date. They’ve even added options that aren’t for Vegas, like airfare travel to certain cities and even a cruise!

The great thing about this game is that its not going anywhere for a very very long time and your loyalty points never expire. MGM and Play Studios assures this.

If you’re interested in trying it and need friends to get more coins to gamble with, you can add me on my Frugal Jenn Facebook account, as well as ask to join a Facebook group dedicated to helping others with the myVEGAS app.

I recommend checking out this guide that one of the Facebook Group members put together. It will help you earn the most loyalty points in the most efficient way. Like betting 300-400 until you reach level 40, then upping it to 1,000 for the remaining levels.

Have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask. After all, I’m here to help you!

Update:

Rules of MyVegas are constantly changing. Currently you can only redeem for 3 rewards in a 30 day period. Meaning, you can’t go to Vegas multiple times in 30 days and request more than 3 rewards total.

However, there are stipulations to these rules such as MyVegas Partners. Rewards from Sugar Factory, House of Blues, Wolfgang Puck and the Las Vegas Monorail do not apply towards the three reward limit in a 30-day period. Just be sure to read over the reward terms of service before purchasing. You can, however, return a reward if you think you may not end up using it too.

Summer Baby Touch WiFi Video Monitor & Internet Viewing System Review

Summer Baby Touch WiFi Video Monitor & Internet Viewing System Review
Summer Infant graciously provided us a baby monitor to review for free. No monetary compensation was given and all opinions are 100% our own.

My husband and I were excited to use this Summer Infant Baby Touch WiFi Video Monitor & Internet Viewing System mainly because of the WiFi capabilities and being able to see baby while we’re out and about. Perfect for date night if baby is in the crib sleeping while family is watching her or even if I am here at home and husband is at work and wants to take a peek.

I know there have been articles in the news lately with people hacking into baby monitors and talking to children, but these people most likely don’t have their WiFi set up to require a password. In fact, we have our internet hidden so no one can get into it.

I unfortunately wasn’t able to get the android summer infant app to work with this baby monitor yet, but I imagine if I tinker around with some router settings and whatnot, I can get it to collaborate with the baby monitor. I don’t have a need for the internet viewing system yet, but I will get to it when baby “A” arrives, which should be in the next couple of weeks.

When you take it out of the package, you’ll need to plug in the charger port for the Video Monitor and charge it up. It pretty much only took an hour or two to get it fully charged, which wasn’t bad at all. Then to start viewing, you’ll need to hold the power button down until the screen shows the bars moving fully towards the right, then you can let go.

There are many different settings on the touch screen video monitor, like for instance, you can move the camera angle or zoom in. Perfect for when baby is older and moves around in the crib and you can’t quite get the right angle. Just move it around with the directional pad arrows until you can see baby.

I also like the fact that it tells me the temperature of babies room since I don’t have a thermostat gauge in there.

We have the camera set up in her nursery and I am able to go downstairs and still have a connection, so that is important, especially when you need to get stuff done around the house. Our home is 1554 sq ft so take that into consideration. I was also able to go outside in the backyard, so that’s a plus!

Sound is perfect. You can definitely hear a little bit of static, but there’s not going to be 100% crystal clear clarity on a baby monitor. I was able to hear myself walking into the bedroom before I even entered the room and we have carpet.

Video clarity is not perfect, but it’s pretty good for only 2.5. I imagine if your room has a lot of natural light, it would be a whole ton better.

Now I just need to decide if I want to stick the camera to the wall with the provided wall stickies or if I’ll have my husband put up a shelf since it’s supposed to be a certain amount of feet away from the crib for safety reasons. It’s fine where it’s at in that precaution, but I can’t exactly see inside of the crib so I’ll need to do the mentioned above.

Thank you again Summer Infant.

Pamper Yourself With The New Caress Forever Collection

Pamper Yourself With The New Caress Forever Collection

Before our bathroom remodel that we just recently had done, I absolutely dreaded taking a shower or even a bath for that matter. Not because I didn’t care about my hygiene, but because the bathroom was not a relaxing place to wash away my woes. With my new bathroom and the New Caress Forever Collection, I am able to escape to a far away tropical and romantic place.
