One of my goals this year is to improve my blog SEO and overall connection with followers. The thing with blogging is that once you think you have it figured out, something is always changing and evolving, and it’s a never-ending cycle to keep on learning.

The hardest part for me was figuring out who my ideal viewers are aka my dream customers (readers) because I am a lifestyle blogger with many branches of niche categories. I had to really dive deep and think about who I am aiming to reach with my posts. And that’s the thing, most entrepreneurs have trouble getting people to discover that they even exist. Every year, tens of thousands of businesses start and fail because the entrepreneurs don’t understand this one essential skill: the art and science of getting consumers to find you. Waiting for people to come to me is not a strategy, which is essentially what I have been doing.
But Who is Russell Brunson?
Russell Brunson is a best-selling author & CEO of $100M software company ClickFunnels. He has built a following of over a million entrepreneurs, sold hundreds of thousands of copies of his books, and popularized the concept of sales funnels. In 2014, Russell and partner Todd Dickerson launched ClickFunnels, which became the fastest-growing non-venture backed software company in the world.
I really don’t want to spoil the book for you if you’d like to grab it and read it yourself, but I did want to share a couple of tips that I have learned and will be putting into effect immediately.
Russell Brunson dives deep into strategies that are useful and will last well beyond Facebook, Google, Instagram, Youtube, and other platforms that haven’t been discovered yet. I have been utilizing Instagram the most lately since that seems to be the hot spot for businesses right now, so that was my favorite read as I have learned some new strategies to implement. I struggle with Facebook and Google because of the algorithms and censoring, you know, the whole paying for your viewers to see your fan page?
Find Your DREAM 100
This essentially means to follow 100 people who are in the same niche as you who already have some of your dream clients. Follow each of them and set up a plan to spend a few minutes each day viewing their content. This will help you to identify the patterns that are making these people successful. He gives many examples in his Traffic Secrets book.
