This post is in partnership with The Dollar Shave Club. I received the products pictured free of charge. All opinions are 100% my own and were not influenced in any way.
I don’t know about you, but I love practical gifts that I’ll actually use. It saves me money that I can otherwise use on things I actually want, you know, like, expensive clothes that no one else is going to buy me. 😉
But gifting personal hygiene products doesn’t have to mean you’re insinuating they smell and to use stronger soap. Gifting premium products mean you actually care about the most important organ of their body, the skin. We get many layers of skin, but the surface is what counts, so we may as well pamper it like we’re supposed to with The Dollar Shave Clubs Dr. Carver and Wanderer body product line.
I was interested in the Dr. Carver and Wanderer line because they developed it on their own using top-shelf ingredients and botanicals, and didn’t incorporate harmful ingredients like sulfates or parabens. They also don’t test on animals, just their interns.
I am trying to steer clear of sulfates since I think they are contributing to my really bad dandruff problem and eczema issues.
What are sulfates?
If you’re unsure, I recommend reading this article.
Basically, sulfates are what give the product lather. They strip the hair and cause issues for concern, like removing moisture from the hair, exposure to harmful microbes, allergens, and environmental pollution which in turn make the hair vulnerable to damage, infection, and illness. Something that we all should really be concerned about.
Let me ask you this one question… when you’re washing your hair does some of it come out in the shower? Mine too! That’s the sulfates.
Sulfates = no good.
How to Create The Perfect Spa Gift Basket of Premium Personal Hygiene Products for Dad:
First, you’ll need a cute basket. I found the denim wire one at Michaels on clearance one day, but you can get a basket just about anywhere.
Second, head on over to The Dollar Shave Club and check out the Wanderer and Dr. Carver’s product line by DSC

So far, I love all of the products. I did find that the shampoo has more of a floral/fruity scent instead of a sage and black pepper scent which I am okay with. The conditioner had a manlier smell along with the mint cedarwood body cleanser which is perfect to put in the Father’s Day Spa Gift Basket.
I have been a member of The Dollar Shave Club for a while now, but I don’t shave as often as the monthly membership recommends, so I always pause my membership until I need more razors. The razors work well, especially with the shave butter. The razor literally glides over your skin like butter when using it. I am now going to use nothing else but the shave butter when I shave!
You may be wondering why I am using it when it’s for a father’s day spa gift basket, but little do you know, all of their products aren’t just catered to men, women can use them too! The shave butter is perfect for both sexes and so are many of the other products.
The Hawaiian citrus face wash leaves my face feeling refreshed and the amber lavender body wash calms me down at night after a long day. I am truly a fan of their premium personal hygiene products and will now keep them stocked in our shower for both my husband and I since I feel like they’re spa quality.

I love this! I always try to overthink Father’s Day gifts and then it’s super hard to come up with something. This is so simple, yet so needed! Thanks!
That is so great! My husband doesn’t normally go in for anything that includes the word “spa”, but I think this is going to be a major exception. Awesome.
My husband loves doing spa day’s. I know he’s a rare breed but he loves it. I know for sure he would love this kind of a gift I will definitely keep this in mind when I’m looking for him.

What a great Father’s Day gift idea! I know my husband would love the Wanderer Awakening Mint Cedarwood Body Cleanser. OK, I would love smelling him when he used it!
This is such a great idea for Fathers Day. Men deserve to be pampered to. It doesn’t have to be some big extravagant gift either. This is perfect.
What an awesome idea for Father’s Day. My dad and husband would surely love a spa gift basket.
The razor would be a nice gift not just for the dad but also for any guy friend. This spa basket is an ideal gift set because it has everything a father would have ever need for everyday personal care.
That’s a lot of personal hygiene! Are we really that dirty?
I do not have any men to shop for, my Dad died when I was quite young and I have no uncles or men in my life, makes Father’s Day simple for me! 🙂

What an awesome Father’s Day gift idea. I can just imagine how amazing our bathroom would smell like after the hubs used those body cleansers. 🙂
This is such a great idea! Selfcare is just as important for men, as it is for women! I think we often associate spas with women, but men love a little pampering too!

My husband usually gets tech stuff when it comes to holidays. He is currently growing a beard and complains that it itches sometimes.

Looks like this would make a great father’s day spa day basket. Most men don’t think spa day when they think taking a shower. But everyone needs some alone time.
What an awesome Father’s Day gift idea. Thanks Jenn
