Television has always been a big part of my life growing up. I remember when my grandma had the big ol’ box TV that sat on the ground with the fuzzy ant picture from the antenna not working correctly, and my parents having the big, boxy flat screen TV that weighed a crap ton with the bulbous colored tubes on the inside. Those went out a few times since we had family movie night pretty much every night of the week. My mom was at Hollywood Video every Tuesday morning when they released new movies, just so we could get the latest blockbusters to watch and enjoy throughout the week with dinner. There were 6 of us to go to a theater, so we couldn’t always afford to do so. Rightfully so, since movie theaters are way overpriced. Even with 2 people it’s hard to accommodate at times. We spend $50+ going to the theater for one movie, so I figured I’d go to Best Buy and check out their TV selection and save with our very in-home theater. Granted it will be a big chunk of change at once with our purchase, but the savings over time should be cost effective.
There was one that caught my eye; The LG OLED TV. It has a pencil thin, 4k curved screen, and the 4k picture is vibrant in color and exceptionally crystal clear! It is seriously a magnificent TV, one that I must have so I can continue on with family movie nights with my soon to be little one. The way our living room is now, we would probably benefit greatly from the curved screen. Seems genius to me!
