Do you know what would make cleaning more fun? A maid!
I absolutely loathe cleaning, but I also like a clean environment that we all know is impossible with kids unless you’re always right behind them with a vacuum and some handy dandy scrubbing wipes. But, there’s also something about Fall and Spring that gets me in the mood to clean and declutter our lives so that we’re dealing with a little less stress and living in a cleaner environment. Maybe it’s the changing weather and I’m not sweating just from getting up off the couch since the crisp, cold air has finally arrived.
I also try to make cleaning fun so that my 4-year-old wants to “help”. I turn on some tunes that we both enjoy listening to, we dance and we start cleaning away!
And don’t even get me started on the car. When you’re busy raising kids and trying to keep the house clean, cleaning your car tends to “take a backseat.”
There’s crumbs, dust, grime, spilled drinks all over the door from kids throwing their cups around after small excursions. I think even one time, we had ants in the car because of all of the food being thrown on the ground from eating in the car. It’s a mess that even I don’t want to tackle on my never-ending to-do list.
But alas, someone has to do it, so I ordered the Armor All 3 pack wipes from Amazon, which to me is a cheap and effective way of detailing the car. I am all for sucking it up and getting the job done if that means saving hundreds of dollars out of my pocket that can be spent on things we really need.
We’ve actually had this smeary, streaky grime on our windshield ever since we bought the car and I am not going to lie, all the other products we used on the window just made it worse. I don’t know what it was since we don’t smoke, but it causes vision impairment when the sun glares on it. I used the Armor All glass cleaning wipes and holy wow, it was like night and day, no joke! We have not seen the windows that clear in the entire 4 years we’ve had the car.
I recommend avoiding spray glass cleaner because all it does is streak and to pick up these Armor All wipes which have a texture for getting things clean.
