When my sister visited last week, she was sick, which resulted in me catching what she had. I haven taken Vitamin C, multivitamins, NyQuil, cough drops and nothing is kicking this virus’ ass!
Even though I was completely feeling like crap with a nasal drip and a sore, phlegmy cough, my boyfriend wanted to do a day hike and I obliged. I wanted to choose something that was rated easy and wasn’t that many miles because I didn’t know how much I could actually do feeling the way I did and didn’t want to over exert myself in the process. So we head out to the same area where Multnomah Falls was, but just a little bit further and do the Upper McCord Creek Twin Falls. Only this time, we started off on the wrong, steep, longer path for about 1.5 miles. I mentioned to him that this must be wrong because we should already be there. So we had back to the beginning and break off onto the other trail, which ended up being right. After 1.25 miles up that way, we finally reached the top. The fairy falls wasn’t as pretty as Multnomah, but still we had never done the hike and are willing to experience and see what all nature has to offer regardless. So all in all, we probably did about 4.5 miles that day, which is not what I wanted to do, but I made it and did it even though I was sick.
The other side was supposed to have water, but maybe wrong time of year. Taken with Droid 4. |
